Ms. Oono was born in Tokyo in 1968. She graduated from Meiji Gakuin University with a degree in French literature, and she also studied drawing at Setsu Mode Seminar. Ms. Oono became a free-lance illustrator in 1995, and she works in a variety of genres including book, magazine, and advertising illustrations. She also makes picture books.
