| JSAT to Open Hong Kong

JSAT Corporation today announced that it will open
a representative office in Hong Kong on October 1 as part of its efforts
to strengthen marketing activities in China and other regions in Asia.
This move will entail transferring the operations of JSAT's existing
Singapore Representative Office, heretofore the hub of operations
in the region, to Hong Kong. The Hong Kong Representative Office will
spearhead JSAT's efforts to promote greater use of its fleet of satellites
in the region.
