| The NTT Group, a key JSAT customer, uses communications satellites such as N-STARa and N-STARb to meet a variety of objectives. These include using communications satellites as bypass channels to alleviate terrestrial network congestion and to implement countermeasures in the event of a natural disaster. The NTT Group also relies on communications satellites to provide communications links to remote islands and satellite-based mobile communications services. JSAT and the NTT Group will continue to work hand in hand to develop new services and explore many more opportunities in the years ahead. |
